BLOG: LOGISTICS

There are times when time seems to run even faster than I do. Like last weekend. Having just returned from Liverpool, I felt like I had weeks and weeks to prepare before our next trip to the UK. When Jerney and I looked at our actual schedule, it turns out we only had a week and a half left to prepare, which is considerably less than either of us realized. A slight panic attack was the result...

Since our next trip will involve bringing over equipment from Holland as well, I had to spend a considerable amount of time booking flights and ferries and plan rehearsals. I am not very good at planning ahead. I always assume something unexpected will come up (which usually is the case), so I find it hard to make a final decision as to which flights to book. I won't bore you with the details, but it has been quite a puzzle and I'm glad everything is sorted now, so I can focus on our upcoming show.

After we pulled ourselves together, Jerney and I had meetings and rehearsals with choreographer/director Hester and with keyboardplayer Louis in Holland, the rest of the band have had rehearsals in Liverpool. It's a truly international project, and I love it! I will introduce some more Dreaming of Kate people soon, and of course I will write some more about our trip to Liverpool next week, when we will all be in full rehearsal mode. Until then, I will be working on my dance routines at my own little dance studio...
